You are right Junior,VS has to use in their fashion shows only high profile models and it’s very strange not to use Emanuela after they announced her as one of the new 5 more VS angels,but that is there problem,the world has to resolve much more important issues than somebody’s absence,I hope will watch on 1st one very good show !!

This year’s show does not look as good as the 2005 and 2006…they are my best too!!!i’m missing Gisele(even though i know she stop her contract with VS),Adrianna,Karolina,Jessica Stam,Natasha Poly…THEY ARE REALLY GOOD….the show isn’t the same without them!!!!

i think the models are to much of drag queen sometimes i liked it when the models modelled like in 2003 and 2005 simple cool but still showing personality though!!!

such as chanel iman, abbey lee, caroline, maryna linchuk, anja rubik…all sensational…don’t ya fink that doutzen has put on a bit of weight compared to her usual stunning body no OFFENCE though…

Ok, I just need to say my peace. This show looks awesome. I can’t believe people are judging it without having seen it on your tv screen yet. That’s so silly to me. And all this talk about using certain high fashion girls, and why certain girls aren’t in the show, lets look at all the facts. First of all, no one wants to see skin and bones in lingerie on a runway, which is what some of your favorite high fashion girls look like. That’s not a positive message to send to the world, especially young girls. VS made a few slip-ups (IMO) about some girls they casted this year; some were too thin for my tastes. Secondly, it does not matter who you are, or how big your name is; if you are not an angel, there is no guarantee whatsoever that you’ll be in the show. I just remember the good old days, when Tyra, Heidi, Yasmeen, Karen, Karolina, Adriana, Daniela, Helena, etc…Those girls with beautiful shapes and curvaceous figures represented the brand perfectly. Things have changed, and while all of the angels have great bodies, it’s just unfortunate that there aren’t more women representing VS like the past angels.

It just bothers me when people drop names like Natasha P, for example, wondering how VS could not use her. She’s one of those models, to be honest, that I never understood why she was ever chosen to be in the show in the first place. Her body is so unhealthy looking, and it’s obvious from the bones that protrude through her skin that she has an eating disorder. There is skinny, and then there’s scary skinny. That’s wht someone like Doutzen is amazing to me. She started out strictly high fashion, and then transitioned to the more successful and lucrative commercial world, making sure her body matched her environment. She looked incredible in lingerie, and her, Miranda, Alessandra, Marisa, Heidi, and Adriana represent the brand well.

I think the show this year look good. But 2005 was with out a doubt the best year. Sad some models are missing, especially my bb Adriana Aren’t Emanuela, Lindsay, Chanel, Candice and Rosie angels? If so then there are 11 angels. That’s too many than usual.

I think this show will be better than last year (not better than 2005 because the models outfits and music just rockes back then)
I am quite happy with the outfit but a bit less about the line-up

for the missing girls, KK had a baby, Adri too… such a shame
Emmanuela had a shooting on the same day and could not cancel, that’s a shame too because she is amazing. As for Flavia, I don’t know! anybody knows why she wasn’t there? Also, we saw on the casting that Fernanda Tavarez was there, WHY WAS SHE NOT SELECTED! and Chanel and the two “model search” were bad. The music was so-so imo… shame.
The enchanted forest segment is sooo beautiful, the wings and outfits are gorgeous. I like the girls hair and make up this year.

Alessandra’s star trooper outfit kinda reminds me of Adriana in 2003’s Sexy Super Heroines

and i get y they made the stage a V shape…lol…and i think its good that thay have alot of more black models and good ta see an asian model too !!!

judging by models, along with the angels its good to see izabel g, isabeli f, julia s, caroline w, and good to see caroline trentini back! and maybe I’m stuck in the past and don’t want to see all these new faces but compared to past models they’re not half as good. I missed not seeing angela l, morgane d, andi m, oluchi o. I didn’t catch fernanda t in the auditions but it would have been cool to see her! and even flavia and natasha. AND I know it wasn’t possible this year which already means that I could even go without seeing this years just to get to next year when Adriana will be back and hopefully Karolina too!
now judging by the actuall show itself… five segments? really?! that hasn’t been since 2003 and that one was way better! and why can’t they make finale clothes like in 2006 and before?! even if its simple outfits I can’t believe they just had the girls walk out in the clothes they had in their segment. I really think they need to hire a new designer and get rid of that charolette woman. along with another dj! music before used to be soooo great! I’m glad it seems like they got a new hair and make-up stylist from last year (that crappy job they did on Adriana) and it seems so pointless to have the models only wear one outfit! why have girls like behati and use them as your main face if you think they can’t sell anything besides that one brand? and the glow sticks?!?! really?
idk maybe I’ll lighten up if the editors are able to make this show seem better than what I’ve already seen :/

Well, i think that every year segments represent segments from the past years for example the 1st segment from 2002 is familiar to the 1st from 2006; the 2nd segment from 2002 is similiar to the 1st one from 2007; the 3rd segment from 2002 is similiar to the 2nd one from 2003 and 2nd one from 2008;the 5th one from 2003 similiar to the last one from 2006 and 3rd one from 2005;4th segment from 2005 – this year enchanted forest and 5th from 2006;3rd one from 2006 – this year all abroad and 2007 age of elegance; I mean that they “upgrade” their ideas very well in my opinion and i think that we should not judjed this year show be4 watching it – the VS “crew” is giving out his best and i think that every year is amazing in its own way. and for the models-yes it is bad that we can’t see a lot of our favourite models from the previous years but look in the good way – if the big models were in this year show would you pay atention to abbey lee, candice and the other new and fresh faces ? look from the good side of the things :]

i believe most of the models we love are missing…..and especially when adriana, karolina and giselle didn’t come back, VSFS is getting worse. what more of what will happen next year? dont tell me this would be alessandra’s last one. and one more thing….STOP USING OLD SONGS FOR THE FASHION SHOW!!!

I think everyone here agrees that VS isnt as prestigious and glamourous as before. I think its peak was 2005, then after that, its slightly going down and down and LOST its sense of direction.

Before; VS fashion shows are real fashion shows (i mean, there is a collection, you can see what they are selling “undies”, and though it was televised, the models did what theyre good at: Modeling, – and only the “Supermodels” can really get away with a bit of personality

However:

Now; (sigh) where do i start????, No real collection, you cant even see the lingerie at all because its covered with toys, balloons, bells, ETC. LOL. Im not pissed off of the dangly things around but because there is no inspiration at all.>>>> Its like ” okay, shall we add this or that just for the sake that they can hang or include something they think its nice.

Im telling you guys for example: if a person who’s never heard of VSFS, never seen VSFS before, No knowledge abour VSFS – for instance, he saw the VSFS 2009 – I bet you that person couldnt even tell what “SORT OF/ KIND OF” fashion show it is,

Another thing that shouldnt happen in fashion shows; kisses. waving. running. and……oh dear dancing and booty shaking… its just wrong to look at in a fashion show…. do it at backstage an No one will care.

Am not saying that models should be robotic and without personality, just a nice little closed-mouth smile and good pose will do. Theres no need for models to over-model.

Recommendations:

They should go back to the old-style long runway
Models should avoid getting overexcited and results to waving etc.
VS should strip back their final collections/ themes to bare minimal. Right now its way too messy with all the colours of the rainbow present.
They should move on with their designs. 2009 VSFS-they were just copying a lot of designs from previous years. and some were kinda lady gaga inspire too, so nothing inventive at all.

nicky- I do agree that all those segments you pointed out have some similarities but each time it got better. when comparing for instance this years first to 2003’s first its worse. when you can pull out a bright pink bra and panties and throw a star on your back thats something we could probably make at home… not that inspiring if you ask me.

and why would they add five more girls as angels? thats so many! it makes their angel status seem so easy to get now when before it seemed so prestige to get it.

even something as simple as the hair makes me cringe. the last time I like the hair and make up job was 2007. and the last time the segments and music were really good was 2006.

I know I need to stop being so critical on this and I’m sorry. VS is just really slipping when it comes to their biggest event of the year

or maybe the company of V.S. is getting cheap (like not having much budget) or just not having any good ideas? :/

The Abbey Lee Kershaw’s custome in the Echanted Forrest is almost the same outfit that Gisele wore in the opening of Highland Romance segment of 2006!!. But generally the clothe ths year was excellent. Low cost show but the pieces are pieces of art.

I know i wish the models would walk like they did back in 2005…the most outstanding new face to me that looks liked they rocked the runway would have to be ISABELI FONTANA, ANA BEATRICE BURROS, JULIA STEGNER and CAROLINE WINBERG they all still walk and act like models with personality without waving about creating all that comotion or blowing kisses all the time…I mean these models ever since they made their first debut on the runway a couple years back they all seem to stay classic sexy and still keep that professional vibe when they strike a nice natural smile and pose at the end of the runway…some of the models just act a bit drag to much alot of the time…on a positive note the show looks great as it always does and even though they may have not stepped up to their reputation from the previous shows they still always seem to WOW us in the end don’t you think…i mean most of these designs we could hardly ever come up with i mean no one would of came up with ballooon wings and a balloon train or even wings design to be like a scarf LOL…and this years fantasy bra sorta reminds me of last years 1 except in a hallequin pattern and a heart diamond shape in the middle shoulda been a green bra full of emeralds…the hair i thought should of been like it was in 2001 and also have even have piss fringes it would make the show look more futuristic because that what the whole theme looks like a theme based on TIME with the future looking 1st segment then the clock patterns and wings in ENCHANTED FOREST and a sorta 1930’s look for ALL ABROAD lots an lots of jewls and sparkly pieces and they did have nice makeup too…The wings were all very original and creative…

Just saw the picture of the finale when all models line up and looking glamourous on those outfits. Behati Prinsloo was wearing the sweat-pants from the PINK section. Wow! How could they miss that one. LOL

Just watched the show. Used to love the Pink segment 2005,2006 Adriana and other girls were great on that.
but now it seemed like a bunch of drunken sorority girls. What’s up with that?

hey guys waz up ? to be honest i didn’t think this last VSFS so impressive :s just my opinion!!! the musics weren’t so good like in the segments: pink planet & enchanted forest. i’d like to know why selita ebanks & izabel goulart aren’t VS angels anymore!!! :s hum…about BEP performance…well they did so great but…less fergie becoz’ she sings so bad live!!!! believe it guys!!! can someone tell me if VS langerie brand exist in other countries?
